I am also in the proc...I love your final creation! I am also in the process of replacing the bassinet cover for my daughters 1st baby. I am pleating the skirt and lengthening it to the floor. However the problem I am having now is I cannot remove the top hood fabric because it is permanently attached. Neither my husband nor myself can figure it out. I will cut the old one off but then wonder how I will attach the new one to the frame. Do you have any suggestions? I would love to hear your idea if you have any. It looks a lot like the one you recovered except it's a tall bassinet. Thanks for your blog, I enjoy it! I don't have kids and don't usually "go" for other people's kids...but your photos of Catie and descriptions of her experiences remind me vividly of BEING a kid.
