Making the Switch

One of the best parts about being pregnant? The maternity clothes. Sure, they're expensive but they're all so comfortable! All clothes should be designed this way, are your pants a little tight? Just loosen the expandable waist. There's no more wondering, does this make me look fat? Because it all makes you look fat, and it's not fat it's pregnant so it doesn't matter. The $20 dress pants I found yesterday are just icing on the cake.

I can already tell that it will be a sad day when it's time to retire these comfy clothes and return to the binding, uncompromising waistbands of regular sizes.

I hear ya! They sure are comfortable! I was fighting the switch for a while...but, I've admitted that maternity clothes just fit me better! $20 dress pants? Where did you find those?? I have spent a fortune on maternity clothes and have barely anything to show for it...

I lucked out and found a pair on sale at Motherhood. I was way more impressed with their clothes than Thyme though they have a really lousy return policy so you have to make sure you love everything you buy. I got this super cute top and brown dress at motherhood and there are some capris I'm going back for.

So fun, you're pregnant! It's like maternity clothes make it official or something. Although I'm going to tell you now that by the time 9 months rolls around you are going to be SO SICK of those clothes you will gladly pack them up and never want to see them again! I can't wait to see you!

You need to go to the Thyme outlet store just off Sarcee Trail. They have tons of deals there. So many $5 shirts. Michelle is so right about getting sick of them though.

I went to Thyme and I was surprised at how little I found there, especially for sale. They had tons of sale stuff but I didn't like much of it. I just went to Motherhood and found TONS of stuff I like, these maternity clothes are way better than my regular so I'm hoping to not be terribly sick of them. I'm already almost 6 months along so I won't wear them for too long anyway.

But did you go to the outlet store? That store is 4 times the size of any other Thyme I've ever been in and they had stuff I've never seen anywhere else. Gap used to have a couple things too but they may have gotten rid of their maternity section in Chinook. I'm not sure.

Yup, it was the outlet. I wasn't super impressed. I have lots of cute things from Motherhood now though, I'm probably set for my whole pregnancy.

I agree, Motherhood had a lot more things that I liked too. I did buy one amazing skirt from Thyme, but all the rest came from Motherhood.
