Insomnia - My new best friend

Remember when I used to sleep... sigh... me either.
2:00 am and I are becoming very familiar with each other.

Things you can’t do at 2:00 am

  1. Call you’re mother just to visit
  2. Make strawberry-rhubarb pie (no ingredients and no where open to buy them)
  3. Sleep!

I fully intend to use some sort of sleep aid tonight... I’m sick of this!

If only my mind would just stop working...

Sleep is for the weak Laura...stay strong! My body is actually getting used to the 2am bedtime. I still want that strawberry rhubarb pie too!

Ah Laura, it's never bad to miss sleep if it's something worth staying up for! :)

Dear Laura,

I hate to burst your bubble, but you need eight hours sleep, preferably starting at 10:00 p.m. in order to keep your hormones in sync. If you don't, your cortisol shoots out of sight and sigh ... you gain weight and can't seem to get it off. So darling, start sleeping and stay thin.

I'm doing my best, really! I'm not staying up late and doing anything... I went to bed at 10 last night... I just toss and turn. I have high hopes for tonight and my new over the counter sleeping pills :)

Hey sis, as I always say, you sleep enough when you're dead, or as Caribou Coffee says, "Life is short, stay awake for it"
There are lots of things you can do at 2am. You could chat with me as it's only noon here. You could discover all the wonderful gadgets from Ronco or see how George Foreman is doing. You could balance your cheque book or wash your hair. You could take up a hobby like sheep shearing and then learn how to knit, and there are plenty of shops and cafes open. By the way...24 hour truck stops are a great place to meet that man of your dreams.
